Weir's Furniture
    Dallas Store currently undergoing Redevelopment

    Dear Weir’s Customer,

We are excited to announce that the redevelopment of the Knox Street store has begun! As our valued customer, we want you to know where we are in the progress of our Knox Street store. Since we closed the store back in February, we have been busy behind-the-scenes. Legal firm Kirkland & Ellis and coworking firm WeWork will be two new lead tenants at Weir’s Plaza.

As we move forward with the demolition, remember we are preserving our front door, the clock, the Country Store, and as much of the Highland Park Soda Fountain Building as possible. The Knox Street store will always hold a special place in my heart and I know it does in yours as well. What you feel when you enter one of our stores in Plano, Farmers Branch or Southlake is the feeling that grew out of a dream in our founder’s heart. J. Ray Weir began the 20’ x 70’ Knox Street store in Dallas in March 1948 with a steadfast commitment to quality, value and customer service.

In this time without our Knox Street store, remember we have three other locations – Farmers Branch, Plano and Southlake — ready to serve you and your family. In fact, the trusted sales force from our Knox Street store have been relocated to our other locations, so don’t hesitate to find the sales associate who has served your family in the past at their new location.

We are very excited for an updated building to better serve our customers and community. We invite you to join us in our redevelopment journey on Instagram @WEIRSFURNITURE. We plan to reopen at Knox/Travis mid to late 2021. At Weir’s the difference is people, and you are all a part of the history and the legacy that is Weir’s. Thank you for your continued commitment and loyalty. We appreciate you and look forward to providing you a better shopping experience.
